Shakespear Arch

NABSQNO 12S 413196 – 4151500

There used to be a sign, which may still be there, declaring this “Utah’s newest arch”. The reason being that even though it is in Kodachrome Basin State Reserve it was so well hidden that it was only discovered relatively recently in 1977 and named by the then park’s superintendent for his grandfather, a local pioneer. The park is near the town of Cannonville.

The arch has a span of 12 ft and a height of 18 ft.
