Brimhall Double Arch

Brimhall Double Arch

NABSQNO 12S 504289 – 4174312

Brimhall Double Arch is located in a remote part of Capitol Reef National Park. It receives little visitation as it is a difficult hike to get to and requires crossing a large pothole. The pothole is almost impossible to cross when it contains water which is often the case.

The arch is named after Dean R Brimhall who was a pioneer in aviation research as well as being a well known authority on local Indian rock art.

The larger lower opening has a span of 120 ft and a height of 75 ft. The smaller upper opening has a span of 45 ft and a height of 15 ft.
