Bement Arch

Kane County. The arch is located in Davis Canyon near to the end of The Hole in the Rock Road. It can also be reached from Lake Powell but both ways are long and arduous. The arch is also known as Ruess Arch or Nemo Arch after the young explorer Everett Ruess who travelled the area with two burros in the 1930's. His mysterious disappearance has still not been explained. On his travels he left the word Nemo etched in rocks including this arch.

The arch has a span of 118 ft and a height of 80 ft.
