Scott County. Probably the major attraction in the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area are the Twin Arches. These spectacular arches are a short drive from Pickett State Park. The road to the arches is signposted off Divide Road and ends at the Twin Arches Trailhead. A marked trail leads to a junction in about ¾ miles; the left fork takes you to the north arch. The trail straight ahead takes you on to the top of North Twin Arch and series of ladders leads to the base of the arches.

The arch has a span of 93 ft and a height of 45 ft.
