Cowboy Arch

NABSQNO 16S 701098 - 4046609

Pickett County. Although the arch is not too far from the road that goes to the Twin Arch trailhead it is not easy to get to. It requires a climb down into Andy Creek Canyon using trees and saplings to control your decent; crossing the creek and then climbing up the other side using the trees to grab hold of.

The arch is near the top and is so called as it resembles a cowboy's bowed legs. A large boulder fallen from the underside of the arch has blocked part of the opening. The arch can be obscured when the trees are in leaf.

The arch has a span of 53 ft and a height of 39 ft.
