Ojcow National Park, just a 30/40 minutes drive from the centre of Krakow, is the smallest of Poland's national parks but it is reputed to be one of the most attractive. It has an abundance of limestone formations the most famous of which is Hercules Bludgeon, an 80 ft tall pillar. The park also has numerous caves only two of which are open to the public. Jaskina Ciemna or Dark Cave is south of the village of Ojcow and although the cave itself is unremarkable there is at its entrance, for Poland at least, a large natural arch.

The arch has a span of about 20 ft and a height of 4 ft. The park service has placed a metal grill and door in the opening.
