Teakettle Rock

Teakettle Rock

This remote arch is located in Rio Puerco Valley in Sante Fe National Forest south of the small town of Coyote. The span is 12 feet and the height 6 feet. There is a local legend that says that Pecos Bill used to brew green tea there. There are green stains on one side of the arch but it is likely that the stains are from mineral deposits.
