Powell County.  The Red River Gorge, an intricate canyon system of the Red River in east central Kentucky, has been designated a National Natural Landmark. Most of the George is located inside the Daniel Boone National Forest. There are more than 100 natural arches and bridges in the area.

This is the main attraction in Natural Bridge State Resort Park that is located just south of the town of Slade. Despite the name it is in fact not a natural bridge but a natural arch. Although there is a mile trail up to the arch an easier way is to take the sky lift.

The arch has a span of 76 ft and a height of 35 ft.
