Powell County.  The Red River Gorge, an intricate canyon system of the Red River in east central Kentucky, has been designated a National Natural Landmark. Most of the George is located inside the Daniel Boone National Forest. There are more than 100 natural arches and bridges in the area.

Gray's Arch or Grays Arch is one of the largest arches in the Red River Gorge area. It is close to Natural Bridge State Park Just off Tunnel Ridge Road a marked trail, number 205, leads from the parking area to the arch in 1.5 miles. Care should be taken not to cut off the trail due to hidden drop offs. The arch is in a very scenic area and, in wet weather, a waterfall can be seen. 

The arch has a span of 79 ft and a height of 50 ft.
