Vento region. This large natural bridge is located just north of the village of Vaggimal in the Parco Naturale Regionale della Lessinia some 20 odd miles north of the city of Verona. Under the bridge archaeologists have discovered remains dating back to the Palaeolithic Period.

It is thought that Ponte di Veja was the inspiration for Dante's Maleboloe (eighth circle of Hell) in part one - Inferno - of The Divine Comedy.

The bridge has a span of about 154 ft and a height of about 64 ft.
