The Raudanes Peninsula – Red or Reddish Point – is located about 20 miles south of the town of Raufarhofn. Raufarhofn is only about 5 miles from Iceland’s most northerly point which itself is only a couple of miles south of the Arctic Circle. A four mile hiking trail around the peninsula leads to bizarre rock formations, caves and secluded beaches.

There are 6 arches situated along its east coast, the first five of which are within mile of each other. This one is the first of two arches that are very close together.

It has a span of about 20 ft and a height of about 20 ft.
