Northern Bavaria - Fränkische Schweiz. In a forest west of the village of Stierberg is what appears to be a stone elephant which watches passers by on the trail below. It is a double arch the front of which certainly looks like the head of a stone pachyderm. The term Jura comes from either the type of rock or from the geological period of the rock.

The smaller front opening has a span of 6 ft and a height of 5 ft while the larger opening has a span of 7 ft and a height of 3 ft.
