Puerto Egas Arch

Puerto Egas Arch

Santiago Island, Galapagos. Puerto Egas is on Santiago Island's north west coast and is a popular spot for tour boats. This double arch is found at the landing site for zodiacs from the tour boats. Sea lions and fur seals are often found basking near to the arch. Colourful Sally Lightfoot crabs scurry to and fro around the openings. Marine iguanas are also found in the area.

The seaward opening has a span of about 12 ft and a height of about 17 ft. The other opening has a span of 19 ft and a height of 5 ft.
