Ennedi Region. The Ennedi is a large remote area in the north east of the country and is part of the Sahara desert. Here there are many spectacular rock formations as well as a great many natural arches. The name means glasses or spectacles and is located in the Ouadi Archei area about 26 miles south southeast of Fada. It is also known as Mask Rock.

The left opening has a span of 36 ft and a height of 57 ft. The right opening has a span of 27 ft and a height of 50 ft.
