Oghak Natural Bridge

NABSQNO 38S 557585 – 441006

Yeghegnadzor Region. Oghak translates to something like wheel or ring. The bridge is located in the city of Jermuk and is known locally as Yerjankoutyan Kamar or Future Bridge as the locals stand under the bridge to wish for their future. The city is famous for its health giving spas and produces most of Armenia’s bottled water.

The Arpa River, which flows through the city, has carved a 300 ft canyon and has divided Jermuk into two halves. A road bridge spans the canyon in the middle of the city and Oghak Natural Bridge can be seen from here although it is not immediately obvious. The natural bridge spans a small occasional stream that flows into the Arpa River. The bridge is easy to access as there is a road into the canyon that goes to a hydroelectric power plant nearby. A few hundred yards away is Harsy Varser Arch and waterfall.

The bridge has a span of 103 ft and a height of 46 ft.
