Liberty Bell Arch

Liberty Bell Arch

NABSQNO 12S 705173 – 3983562

Liberty Bell Arch is a very beautiful arch in a lovely setting. The arch is named after the famous bell in Philadelphia due to its shape and the crack in the span. There is also a small rock in the opening that could be thought of as a clanger. It is located near to White Rock Canyon, to the south of Hoover Dam. The arch is only about ½ a mile from an overlook of the Colorado River. Although there is a trail to the arch it is not well marked. The trail passes an abandoned magnesium mine complete with ore cart. It is possible to see the arch when driving along U S Highway 93 but the arch will be viewed edge on.

It has a span of 30 ft and a height of 25 ft.
